How to Maintain Your Wood Controller Holder's Finish

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

This linseed oil finished that is used is from a company called Tried and True. It's an eco-friendly product that's both friendly to your health and the environment. However, harsh chemicals can damage the finish over time.

Avoid Commercial Cleaning Products

Many commercial cleaners contain alcohol, ammonia, or waxes that can break down or damage wood finishes. Stick to natural cleaning solutions like mild soap and water or a dedicated wood cleaner that is safe for natural finishes.

Stay Away from Abrasive Materials

Steel wool, rough sponges, or any abrasive material can scratch the surface and ruin the smooth finish. Always use soft, non-abrasive cloths when cleaning or polishing. 

What to use when cleaning the surface

Tried and True recommends you use Murphy’s Oil Soap or other wood-specific cleaners for surfaces that are finished with Tried & True. Do not use mineral oil-based polishes/conditioners to clean the surface. It's recommended to use a soft shammy cloth to buff any dull areas.
